Quick question, when I attempt to open the view source on any website in Internet Explorer, the source does not come up. Does anyone know why?

is "notepad" or something similar listed as your default html editor (tools, internet options, programs)?

Assuming you are using XP as your OS, clear your cache and it'll work. As simple as that. It happened to me too...

in IE, tools, internet options, delete temporary files...
