Brunell needs to be shunned to the sideline in favor of Leftwich, because he's got my vote! Leftwich just looks more comfortable on the field than Brunell does. Brunell seems to be in such disarray when throwing or staying in the pocket,or running around for that matter. Given Leftwich's time came when both games were decided, but I think it's time to test Leftwich's abilities.

Thinking is too painful.

I could see an argument for either QB making sense, but if I was the coach in Jacksonville I would have to start Leftwhich. When he has played this season he has looked very well throwing for 11 of 13, for 124 yards, 2 tds, and no INTs - a QB rating of 146. Brunell on the other hand is playing pretty, he has a QB rating of 89.7 and 2 td passes. I would just have to say if I am Jacksonville I am playing for next year and the season after that, they just don't have much of a shot this year. And if that is the case- then why not start your rookie and give him some reps so he will be more prepared next season, much like Ramsey is this year. Maybe the Jaguars are playing Brunell early in the season so that some team that really needs a QB might be willing to trade for him before the week 6 trade deadline?
Either way- both QBs are playing pretty good(passing wise, I have not watched all the Jax games so I dont really know to well)...so it is more of a win-win situation.

Do they have any recievers worth a damn any more? Fred showed he was still Fred last week but they couldn't put anything together around him.

Jimmy Smith will be back in week 5 right?

I think Leftwich should see signifigant playing time, but I think that maybe it should just be a series or two at a time for a few games, maybe let him take over for good in week 12 or so if at all this year. Work out something with Brunell like the Pats did with Bledsoe, if you are a good little soldier for the rest of the year we will do everything we can to help you get where you want to be, etc.

I think that Radii has the right idea. While Leftwich has been great in limited appearances so far, when has he been playing? And since the Jags know they aren't going anywhere, they'll just move him along nice and slow, not rush his development, and let his confidence grow.

It doesn't matter. Brunell will be out with a concussion within the next month. Once he gets it, Leftwich will take over the starting role and be the QB of the Jags for the next 10 years.

The Jags don't have to work out anything with Brunell. He's been a class act all along. Reports out of Jacksonville say he expects to get benched anytime now. He'll be released at the end of the year. Nobody will give up anything for a guy with his contract. He'll have a shot somewhere else, but his skills have diminished.

He definitely has been a class act. He was on the sidelines congratulating Leftwich after his TD pass yesterday and appeared to be genuinely enthused. Maybe his career can come full circle and he'll be signed by the Packers to replace the even more rapidly aging Brett Favre. :D

Maybe by the time Denver finally realizes Plummer ain't the answer the trading deadline still won't have passed and they can make a deal.

Jax sure isn't going anywhere. They should trade Brunell for whatever they can get and see if one of their two young QBs can do something.

I know i'm biased here but that is a stupid comment. Have you watched Favre this year? Like against Arizona where in 106 temp. he was running his butt off like normal and made some damn good plays? Physically Favre is not dropping off yet at all. Maybe if the Pack could get the running game going more consistent then it has been and a WR isn't banged up every game, Favre could start looking a little better. Not to mention the line isn't a 100%.

Oh ya....the rapidly aging Favre completed his 1st ten passes against the Cards....but in the end, this is a team game, and Favre can't play more then QB.
