I was talking about this with Mrs. Q not long ago (she is an avowed fan)... as I recalled from the clown who used to hang around here and shill the boxing sim, the supposed date was Sept. 13, 2003.
I just marked it on my calendar. Will be waiting.
If you're one of those London bookmakers who will take bets on anything, where do you set the money line on this? I'm thinking something like 15:1 against... might be just tempting enough to bring in some wagers.

2pac- Ain't Hard 2 Find
I heard a rumour I died, murdered in cold blood dramatized
Picutes of me in my final stage you know Mama cried
But that was fiction, some coward got the story twisted
Like I no longer existed, mysteriously missin
Although I'm worldwide, baby I ain't hard to find
Why I spend most of my time on California crime
Watching for thievin I'm cautious it's like I'm barely breathin
Puttin a bullet in mutherfuckers give me a reason
See me and hope I'm intoxicated or slightly faded
You tried to play me now homicide is my only payment
I'm addicted to currency in this life I lead
Why the fuck you cowards be runnin, too scared to fight a G
For the life of me, I cannot see
How motherfuckers picture livin life after a night of fuckin around with me
And if you don't like this rhyme
then bring your big bad ass to California, cause we ain't hard to find
That seems intresting if you ask me but you didnt so who cares

Some good stuff there. There's a section on "Possible Hide-outs" which boils down to this: Rich people can buy their own island.
You can't make this stuff up... uh, well....

Maybe a year or so ago, the LA Times did a two part investigative piece on Tupac's shooting. It was really fantastic work. I'll dig a bit to see if I can find it.

On the above mentioned site there's a link to "Debunking the La Times Article". Unfortunatly that link doesn't work yet, but that goes to show you that no matter what you say, the conspiracy theorists (oh, sorry, the "Alive Theories" ) already have an answer for you...

I used to be really into this in 1998/99 and was a believer that the whole shooting and death was staged. We shall see. September 13rd is indeed the supposed return date.
<edit> Here wasa site with alot of theories: http://2pac03.tripod.com/.

Two things:
1. I am thouroughly amazed that Quik's wife is a fan of Tupac. For some reason that just floored me when I read that.
2. There is a Web site out there that lists islands for sale. Can't remember the URL, but I remember that there were several available for less than $100K.

Picture Me Rollin' was one of Tupac's best and the All Eyez on Me CD is the best lyrical rap album of all time.

Mrs. Q and I use the phrase "picture me rollin" all the time with one another. Most of our friends don't know what the hell we're talking about.

The only quasi-rap lyric/phrase I use often is RATM's "just a victim of the in-house drive-by." My friend and I use it all the time as a joke/metaphor.

We have too much in common Fish, you scare me sometimes.
Actually it has been confirmed that he is not dead, he will be singing/rapping the 7th inning stretch at the Cubs game on Saturday. Why do you think they held out so long on having celebrities do this?

God, the info on some of these pages is absolutely horrible. I dug around to find one with the "is it real?" autopsy photo.
The photo looks real to me, but having actually been on-hand for a real autopsy, I can easy debunk the questions that supposedly raise doubt about the photo.
for reference, I'm talking specifcally about this page:
(warning, picture of dead Tupac)
http://www.tupacnet.org/theories/autopsy.htm (http://http://www.tupacnet.org/theories/autopsy.htm)
1. Why is it in black and white when she wanted the picture to be published in a book for Tupac's fans to see? Click here to see the Colour Version (WARNING: Highly gaphical)
It was probably cheaper, and/or they didn't want to print ultra-graphic photos.
2. Why is the quality so bad that you can hardly see his tatoos on his body?
Many, many photos are taken at an autopsy. Since we're only seeing 1 (leaked) photo, my guess is the author of that book took what they could get.
3. Don't you think his chest looks a little out of porportion to his body?. It's a little too raised.
Well, first of all, his chest has been sliced wide open. Also, as standard procedure in an autopsy, someone's cut open, has samples of all their organs taken and placed in seperate containers. When they are done, everything gets wrapped up in a plastic bag and stuffed back inside (like the gizzards in a turkey). This and the fact that his chest has yet to be sewn back up would certainly make it look a bit bulkier than usual.
4. Is it even legal to take a dead persons picture on the autopsy table and publish it in a book?
I'm sure photographing the process is legal and highly encouraged. 2 photographers were present at the autopsy I witnessed, 1 police photographer, and 1 medical examiners office employee.
5. Why did the doctors cut his upper chest area extending from his right shoulder? Shouldn't they be paying attention to his rib area, where his lungs are?
Everything is checked out. Maybe he was poisoned, and then a shooting was staged to throw off everybody?! Many deaths are not what they initially seem. They go as far as peeling off your entire face, sawing open your skull, and checking out the brain area. Stomach contents are analyzed, and all kinds of samples are taken.
Regardless of how obvious a death may seem, no stone is left untruned at this stage, since it is generally the best/last chance to detect what happened.
If I can provide this much insight, imagine what a few professionals could do.
All that being said, a Tupac return would be pretty awesome.

That would be sweet if he came back, but I highly doubt it. If he does come back, he's probably going to go to jail.

For all the talk about Pac, the truth is that Biggie was a much more skilled rapper. It would have been nice if he ever rapped about anything. But the only reason people rate 2Pac ahead of him is that Pac's songs occassionally had some redeeming value.
Just listen to 'Hypnotize'. It's just amazing the amount of technical skill Biggie had. It's really an eye-opening experience if you sit down and listen closely to how well he raps about nothing.
I liken saying 2Pac was better than Biggie to saying that the political satirist for the "New Yorker" is a better comedian than Jerry Seinfeld, because the satirist is commenting on things that matter.

On a side note, there's a great bit by Chris Rock where he goes to Howard Beach or something and trys to get the white folks there to rename one of the main avenues "Tupac Shakur Boulevard."
You can probably get the clip using one of those evil file-shring programs.

I'm a huge fan of Tupac. I had no idea that he was dead, since Voyager was able to make it back home.
He was the best vulcan ever. Most logical. Most noble. I will miss him.:(
