And those 6 games;
Aug 30 vs Washington
Sep 6 vs San Diego State
Sep 13 vs N.C. State
Sep 20 vs Bowling Green
Sep 27 vs Northwestern
Oct 11 at Wisconsin
Obviously the 3 games that stick out are Washington, N.C. State, and Wisconsin. Any of those could become losses now, but if they do struggle to run the ball against N.C. State it could be a long day with their passing game. I really think they can beat Ohio State here.
I think Washington is a little overrated and Ohio State will take care of them fairly easily, especially in their 1st game without Nueheisel, not that he's that great of a coach, but there will be an adjustment period.
The Wisconsin game is probably the most interesting, on the road, against a contender for the Big 10 title, personally I have no idea which way to lean for this game. I would say Ohio State's depth gives them an advantage, but once again, if they struggle to run the ball, it could be a long day.

Not even. DeShaun Foster lost 4+ games for what happened with him.

I don't think it is enough of a punishment. The NCAA isn't exactly a bunch of geniuses though. Their rules are ridiculous. There were something like 21 players that made the Playboy preseason All-American team this year that had to return several items from a gift bag that they were given. The bags were from a sponsor that wasn't cleared by the NCAA. Inside the bags were items such as a water bottle valued at $.50. There was nothing in the bag that was worth more than $10, and the NCAA got their nose all out of joint and made all of them give it all back. Thankfully, nobody will be suspended or punished, they just have to fill out some paperwork, but I think it is idiotic to expect a bunch of players to know what sponsors are acceptable to take things from and which aren't. They know not to accept items that are valued more than $200 or whatever the limit is. I would think that would be good enough.

But the Michigan DB commits a crime and gets 1 game.

Now if this is a division I powerhouse school, then why should they fret? they easily have a bevy of talented players behind Clarett waiting for playing time.. Next we'll hear how this new back has surprised the team by being a good replacement and what not.. He may not be a Clarett, but seriously.. I think the only real position to worry about for teams of that caliber is Quarterback, and that is even debatable.. It's not gonna spell disaster for a team as big as Ohio State to lose one running back, no matter how good he is.
Now if this were a Marshall team losing a Randy Moss, or a Fresno State team losing David Carr, then you might wanna worry a bit.

And from what I hear the NCAA hasn't even gotten to his academic 'issues' yet.

Will he go against the NFL and go to court to get in or will he sit it out?

Its by no means a disaster both Maurice Hall and Lydell Ross are bigger and faster than they were last year but both are currenlty injured. They are supposed to be ready for Saturday though.

Hopefully they will lose a game or 6 during this time. That would be nice.

I'm sick of hearing about Clarett, yes he's great player on a great football program, but when is the rest of the country going to get their air time? There are some great teams out their who don't get as much time as one player, that seems just wrong to me. The sports world has talked more about Clarett then the top 25.

Bold prediction time:
Clarett never plays another down of college football.
The NCAA grants him a special waiver allowing him to enter the 2004 NFL draft, thus preventing him from winning a court case against them and setting precedent.

Except that it's the NFL rules and not the NCAA's that would prevent him from declaring for the draft.
