Sorry to do this again to everyone but I have another dumb question about CM4. I've searched my manual and can only find a sentence or two about clauses. My question is: what do the different clauses mean? I figure that the minimum promotion clause is basically a personal bonus to the player should your club be promoted. Is that it??

Clauses as follows.

Non Promotion release clause : Amount player can leave for if club doesn't get promoted
Relegation Release Clause : Amount player can leave for if club get relegated.
Minimum Fee release Clause : Amount player can leave for at any time.

If another club make an offer for a player that matches a release clause that is active then you cannot turn down the bid.
Minimum fee clause is always active
Promotion/Relegation clauses only activate if the club gets releagted or fails to get promoted after the player has signed the contract.

These clauses are a good incentive to get players to sign if you thnik it is unlikely they will be activated or the player is not crucial to your squad. If a player is important to you, try and re-negotiate a new contract and don't offer them the clauses - there are a couple of other ones, but I can't remember them all at the moment - hope this helps a little.
