Yup, I am...Dotel is nasty, isn't he? I have him on one of my fantasy squads (where holds are a stat :)), but not in my FOFC league.
How many pitchers have they had in tonight?

Unbelievable! Did they say the first time in 44 years the Yanks were no hit?

Yep. First time since 1958. Hoyt Wilhelm was the last.

Haha... just read on ESPN, Torre's job may be in danger from this 'skid'. Steinbrenner is such a moron!

There's no way in hell that Torre will get fired. I know that Steinbrenner is real rash with his decisions, but I think that he'll think this one through. I see Torre coaching this team until he doesn't want it anymore.

Steinbrenner has a history of letting go of very good managers if teams don't live up to his standards. He thinks the yankies should win it all, and they have not done so for the past 2 seasons. Combine that with the public feud between Steinbrenner and Torre over what players are being used and I think you have a situation where Torre's job is certainly on the line.

I seriously think Torre might retire at the end of this season (I don't think he'll be fired this year, unless the Yankees REALLY go into a tailspin).

I hate the Yankees, but if Torre got fired it would be terrible, look how many players have been injured this year, that's not his fault...

Not being the manager's fault has never stopped Steinbrenner from firing them in the past. I'd like to see Torre just quit in the middle of the season, and take his whole coaching staff with him. That would be funny.

Hell yeah, what a night. Fricking ESPN2 had the Dodgers-Tigers game on instead of the Astros, but at least I got to see the last inning.
I'm pretty sure that I saw the last Astros no hitter (Kile in 1993 versus the Mets) and to see this one tonight, against the hated Yankees, is a thing of beauty. The 'Stros bullpun is so freakin awesome.
Tonight is a good night to be an Astros fan... :)

I was there - it was great fun. Dotel is just plain nasty. I'd heard good things about Lidge, and he looks pretty talented.
I'd seen all the Yankee no-hitters on TV (Rags, Abbott, Gooden, Wells, Cone), it was fun to see something as odd as 6 pitchers combining on the no-hitter.
The best part was I had 2 more free tickets right behind home plate and my friends couldn't get out of work in time - so i dumped them for $50 and drank for free. Good times.

I watched this game last night. I was happy that I had the chance to sit down and actually watch the game.
I hate it that Oswalt got hurt again, because he is on my fantasy baseball team.
Nice no-hitter!

I remember seeing the Andy Hawkins (non) no-hitter on TV :) Classic Yankees of the 80's :p

The Yankees had a bottle of champagne in front of each pitchers locker when they came in to the clubhouse last night after the game. Classy move on there part.

Very classy move. After hearing about that, I find it a little bit more difficult to hate them. Don't worry, I DO still hate the Yanks, but just not quite as much...

I've been a die-hard Yankee fan my entire life. I grew up with some decent teams in the mid 80's but really became a huge baseball fan with the terrible teams of the late 80's/early 90's.
I can tell you that I hate most Yankee fans. They are insane. I can't imagine how much I would hate them if I were a fan of another team.

Most of them are insane :D. Living in Jersey for 22 years, I can vouch for that. Especially after the last run, they acted like the World Series was guarenteed to them. I remember my ex-g/f being very angry and sad the night they lost to the D'Backs (glorious day ;)). I was like, jeez.. you've won 4 in a row... let someone else have a damned chance!

Wagner is insane. I played against Billy in high school...he was much more insane then. He wasn't throwing in the high 90's yet, but he'd consistantly hit 85 with very little control. Standing in the box to face him was very frightening.
A typical high school game for him was 7 IP, 1 hit, 15 K's, 15 BB's.
