Here's what I did. I tried the "easy" way. Obviously, there's more to it:

1. Dumped database from old server.
2. Put database on new server.
3. Copied all files and directory structure from old server.
4. Put files and directory structure on new server.
5. Changed config.php to point to new database.

This process is mentioned here:

TotalChoice Hosting Family Forums > Moving Phpbb2 From Your Old Host To Tch (http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t10187.html)

Result?

This is the USFL - Index (http://www.younglifenorthdekalb.com/phpbb2/)

Little help?

Oh wow that's pretty... Um, are you using the default skin?

I tried to go to another page of phpBB and I got a login screen.

This is the USFL - Log in (http://www.fof-usfl.net/phpbb2/login.php?redirect=admin/index.php&sid=8c6609dc387ef5ac9208324fb4222449)

-edit never mind, it redirected me to the usfl website link...

It's redirecting back to their original forums, it appears.

What page did you try?

One thing I do notice is that every time I refresh that page it displays different data.

Are you running the same versions of PHP and MySQL on both servers?

I just tried to go to This is the USFL - Log in (http://www.younglifenorthdekalb.com/phpbb2/admin) to see what it would do.

Yeah...somehow it's redirecting. Evidently there are still some absolute links buried in there somewhere.

When I've moved phpBBs in the past, I normally start with a clean phpBB install instead of using my existing, but I know that can be a pain in the ass if you have done a number of mods.

I can't quote that this is exactly what I've done in the past, since I just do my moves and changes on what I feel are logical steps, but this looks pretty right...

Phpbb Forum Site Transfer (http://www.trap17.com/index.php/phpbb-forum-site-transfer_t27210.html)

I navigated to Welcome to phpBB 2 Installation (http://www.younglifenorthdekalb.com/phpbb2/index.php) , and it says 'file not found'...are you sure you copied all the files?

I think he's in the middle of doing the reinstall after my suggestions.
