I still say it's a toss-up between the Giants and Panthers. But for the sake of picking someobody, I'll go with the Panthers.

I picked the Cards of course, but I think the Steelers are the more likely choice right now, if Big Ben has recovered from that concussion.

I'll keep picking the Chargers since they're still in it.
Ravens. That defense is unreal.

I took the Chargers, because that's who I would most like to see win out of the remaining teams. I'm quickly running out of teams worth rooting for.

Good job making this one public :).
I went with the Ravens. As stated, defense is too good, running game is good enough, and Flacco shows polish.

I led with me heart. Steelers
But, if I was to use my head, I'd have to say Giants or Ravens. Ravens D is still scary as hell. Even though Steelers handled them, a Ravens/Steelers AFC Championship is a ulcer-inducing scenario.

I don't know. I'm picking Bolts/Ravens and Giants/Panthers for the championship games.

I hope the Giants get another showdown with the Ravens. Not only would it be a hell of a game, but I think they're maybe the only team that can match their physicality.

Ravens' D isn't as good as Miami made them look. I'm going with the Giants, although they may have their hands full with the Eagles this weekend.

I would love to see the Bolts vs. Giants in the Super Bowl. And I would love for the Chargers to crush them by 30 points bringing the first professional trophy for the city.

Mainly I'm hoping for two teams that end up making a good match for my Superbowl theme party. The Raiders/Bucs Superbowl will never be topped for that. Ah, memories...

i'm a Giants fan, but i'm not feeling good about this matchup with the Eagles. they went 1-1 in the regular season, but that one win i think Plaxico was on the team. i'm not liking the Giants' chances without Plaxico. this is the bed you make when you decide you want to suspend your good players because of conduct. it's the right thing to do, but in terms of winning you shoot yourself in the foot. they really need to pass more. Eli Manning is no Trent Dilfer. if they were gonna have Manning hand the ball off 30+ times they could've kept Collins or Warner for that. waste of talent. i'd REALLY like the Giants' chances if we had Osi and Plaxico on the team in the playoffs. but i guess that's stupid to say cuz i'm sure the Pats wished they had Brady all year.
it's gonna be Panthers/Eagles in the NFC Championship game. Steelers/Titans in the AFC Championship game. Panthers/Titans in the Super Bowl and the Titans will win.

It's still hard to believe how balanced the Eagle's-Giants series has been over the past five years:
2008: NY over Phi (36-31), Phi over NY (20-14)
2007: NY over Phi (16-03), NY over Phi (16-13)
2006: NY over Phi (30-24 OT), Phi over NY (36-22), Phi over NY (23-20)
2005: NY over Phi (27-17), NY over Phi (26-23 OT)
2004: Phi over NY (31-17), Phi over NY (27-6)
New York holds a 6-5 edge, and a majority of the games have been relatively close. I remember that Philadelphia-NY Giants 2006 wild card matchup as one of the more exciting playoffs games watched.
No matter what happens, I think that Philly-Giants might be the best game of the weekend (certainly the least likely for a blowout).

The Giants need to find a way to stop Westbrook. That being said this game worries me alot. The Eagles remind me alot of the Giants from last year.
IMO the key is the Giants crushing them in time of possesion. It looks like Jacobs will be well rested so hopefully he can be a big part of keeping the Eagles offense on the sidelines.

i'd be happy with anybody but the Giants or Steelers - I don't want to read a ton more articles fellating Eli or Big Ben.
Picked Ravens in the poll, but I would LOVE LOVE LOVE for McNabb to get a SB ring in Philly just to really cause agony for the segment of Iggles fans that are anti-McNabb

AFC DIVISIONAL ROUND 1:
Baltimore edges out Tennessee. The Pittsburgh game aside, Tennessee have started to fade as the year's gone on (seriously, how do they lose to the Texans?), while Baltimore have continued to improve. When they met in Week 5, Tennessee edged out Baltimore by 3 points. Baltimore stacks the line and dares Kerry Collins to beat them, and Ed Reed has a field day as a result.
AFC DIVISIONAL ROUND 2:
Big Ben returns to lead the Steelers over San Diego. The Pittsburgh defense keeps San Diego in check in likely cold/poor weather their offense victimizes San Diego's defense.
AFC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS:
Week 15 again as Pittsburgh clamps down on Baltimore defensively, while the offense just manages to get enough field position to win by a field goal or two.
NFC DIVISIONAL ROUND 1:
My mis-pick of the Wild Card Round (Atlanta over Arizona) necessitates a change here. However, I'm still going with the visitor. Arizona's new-found running game serves them in good stead and Kurt Warner's playoff resurgence continues to impress. It's close, but Arizona pull out the victory.
NFC DIVISIONAL ROUND 2:
New York haven't looked really good since Week 11, while Philadelphia have been gathering momentum. Jacobs gets re-hurt early and Eli spends most of the day on his back while McNabb is just elusive enough to keep the Giants from killing the passing game as Philadelphia wins over New York.
NFC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS:
This year's Cinderella story still hosts the NFC Conference Championships, although in Arizona as opposed to Atlanta as I originally predicted. This time, however, Philadelphia has enough to overcome Arizona. McNabb is fully in a groove while Philly's D doesn't allow Arizona's passing offense to get off the ground.
SUPER BOWL:
Experience (Pittsburgh) beats motivation (Philadelphia).
blah blah Plaxico blah blah Plaxico. blah blah. it's the right thing to do, but in terms of winning you shoot yourself in the foot.
C'mon, HA, the foot?!? This is just too easy.

Damn Colts. Lose to the Chargers and they've forced me to be a Steeler fan this weekend. I hate Rivers.
I'm going with the Titans. Great defense, home field, good coach. I'd like the Steelers if Big Ben was more consistent. In the NFC, I'm going with the Giants.

2006 and 2008 are actually rare for this series as it has tended to be a sweep by one of the teams every year.

Maybe it's just what I want to see, but Flacco is really mirroring Roethlisberger's rookie year-- excellent regular season, exposed in the playoffs. What was he 9-23 vs the Dolphins, who are hardly the Titans or Steelers D.
I know someone will say he won/managed the game/blah blah blah. He's going to need to do more than manage the game vs those 2 D's.
I like PIT and TEN, PHI and CAR this week.
From there, I'll pick with my heart and take the Steelers.

Got the result right. Reed might have had a more destructive day if the Titans weren't specifically avoiding him. To me, Tennessee seemed to have been losing steam since the beginning of December, while Baltimore had been gaining momentum. The overall quality of the Titans kept this close, but the Ravens made their own luck this game.
AFC DIVISIONAL ROUND 2:
Big Ben returns to lead the Steelers over San Diego. The Pittsburgh defense keeps San Diego in check in likely cold/poor weather their offense victimizes San Diego's defense.
I EVEN CALLED THE WEATHER, BITCHES!!! BOOYAH!!!

Well, it wasn't close. In fact, I should have gone with my original (post Week 17) prediction, was that the Panthers would just implode.
Jacobs was fine and Eli didn't spend most of the day on his back as much as he spent most of his day sucking. Furthermore, McNabb wasn't so much elusive as his O-Line was dominant. Still, got it right.
I'm 7/8 so far (missed Arizona over Atlanta last week). I clearly should have placed some bets.... :D

Pretty good picks flere. Especially Arizona over Carolina. Plenty of people would take Baltimore, Philly, or even SD(who obviously didnt win)...but I dont know many people who would have seriously picked Az.
