Hi folks...

I know there are a lot of us here with young children, or who've spent some time around them during the holidays. These days, you probably wound up with plenty of photos of the kids.

This is a quick reminder to be on the lookout for "white eye" in photos of little ones. While this effect can be caused by camera or lighting glitches, it can also be a sign of potentially serious eye problems, including a rare form of cancer (NBA fans will remember the story of Derek Fisher's daughter in this year's playoffs). It can also indicate other, less serious conditions, including some that are harmless.

"Red eye" is a common photo effect and is nothing to worry about. Having one "red eye" that looks lighter than the other is also generally normal, and a small white dot in the center of they eye from the flash or other lighting is also common. What you're looking for is a full white pupil -- similar to what you'd see with red eye, except white.

Many people see this sort of effect in pictures of their kids but don't know that it could a warning sign. If you notice this sort of white eye effect in photos of kids you know, have them checked out by a doctor. It's probably nothing to worry about, but better safe than sorry and you may help them avoid bigger problems down the line.

Haha.....no, friend....I lost the ability to ask other people what they think. That is important to me. I respect the people in this community, and I am truly interested in what they have to say. My ability to ask questions was taken away for two months. It was a miscarriage of justice, if you can dig it. And the person that was responsible has no reason to be accountable. It's shit. It makes the police look like mother teresa

The reason I said funny is because this story was relayed to me yesterday:

There is this small little restaurant called Oasis in Fairborn, OH that actually just closed down, but they used to sometimes have a band come in and play some music - nothing over the top, there was no stage, just a corner sectioned off for musicians.

So this kid I know is playing there with his band, and the place is pretty dead. They are just doing some cover songs. In walks these older guys that were described as douchebags. They go to the bar and order a bunch of Jack Daniels and proceed to start bangin down shots as my friend and his band keep covering some songs... after a bit the group of older guys starts taking notice and yells at the kids to play Eye of the Tiger... well the band didn't know how to play it and just ignored them, but the older guys were persistent. Finally they start yelling out the chords and the kids just try and it sounds miserable. So the guys, drunk at this point, come over and ask if they can try to play- and they do. Turns out the guys are actually Survivor and still tryin to live off the fame of a 25 yr old song, they had just had a local show and came there afterwards... heh.

So that is kinda cool but at the same time, I mean, yelling out your own song? Come on.
