I thought it sounded familiar.

Weird that I love both LOTR and Requiem and I didnt even remember it in them.

He didn't give the title of the song, just the two movies it's in. Right?

Damn, good point. When I first read it I thought he was saying the name was Requiem For A Dream, but that is a movie it's in.

It's called "Lux Aeterna", it's by Clint Mansell and the Kronos Quartet and is from the Requiem for a Dream soundtrack.

Next time I watch the movies I'll have to pay attention to the music to see if that track plays; FWIW, I don't think it was actually in those movies (it's not listed in any of the soundtracks) and was likely only associated with the movies through trailers - movie trailers often use music that's not actually in that film.

Yeah - all of the LOTR movie music was composed specifically for. Without actually listening to it, I think I remember that this song was in a trailer.

Ah, nothing gets this RU fan pumped like this and "Bring Em Out" back to back.

That song is definitely in RfaD, I would put my bank account on it.

Sorry, wasn't clear in my post - it's absolutely in Requiem For a Dream (it's also on the soundtrack). I don't think it was in any of the Lord of the Rings movies, other than perhaps a trailer.

Here we go - apparently "Lux Aeterna" was re-orchestrated for the trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers but was not actually in the film:
