I'm.. this is the craziest fucking thing I've ever seen.

I mean, people take a running start, jump off a fucking MOUNTAIN, and pretty much grab the air currents along the walls of the mountain, and pretty much glide and glide forever.

I showed this to one of my friends, and he claimed it HAD to be CG, because it was so.. well.. amazing.

edit: hxxp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dw70zl2hjKw another wingsuit video, involving a jump from a helicopter..

I posted this in the YouTube thread.

Simply amazing shit. Speaking of, my pants would be full of it if I tried this.

I was in a pub a few years ago and saw footage of guys in these wing suits jumping out of helicopters and skimming along giant snow covered mountains. One of the most amazing things I've ever seen.

Gentlemen, I believe you have stumbled across the opening action sequence for the James Bond film that will hit theaters in 2011.

Maybe I am cynical but it looks pretty fake to me.

I would believe it a little more if they actually showed a landing. I can't see how you could land from that without f'ing yourself up.

Um, how about a parachute, like what is shown?

Yeah, the footage I saw was from an extreme sports kind of show. It's not fake. They flew like 2 meters above a snowy mountain face, all the way down to a massive drop, where they then opened the chute and landed safely.
