Longtime lurker, first time poster

So I quit my job today and I may need help finding a new one. I worked for my latest employer for the last 4 years. It was a painful break-up that I think was caused cause I failed to live up to expectations. The owner was one of those "know it all" types who like to meddle in the affairs of his managers. I kept trying to tell him that I've been to the top before, and I know how to be successful. But all he cared about was the bottom line, and I guess I didn't get it done

I was in control of about 50 employees, and I thought we were doing a pretty good job. Last summer, he brought in this loudmouthed salesperson, and my life became awful trying to deal with this guy. Guy would show up to work when he wanted to, and it was obvious that he was being treated different by the owner than my other workers. In a way I'm kind of relieved to be leaving, and I may just decide to retire forever after this ordeal. But in the meantime, I'm looking for something to get me through another couple years. I've worked in New York and Boston before as well as this latest stint in Texas, but basically I'm willing to travel almost anywhere for the right opportunity.

The corner gas station down the road from me is hiring night people and kitchen help, as well the Pizza Hut is hiring. I joke, but as someone out of work since Friday I know how you feel man (although you said retire, so you have more money then me :D ). Good luck finding something.
