Interesting article at CNN.com discussing the issue of radical Islam vs. moderate Islam with the trial of the London bombings underway:

I think one point worth mentioning, and it's touched on in the article, is that while radical Islamists may comprise a small minority within the Muslim faith, their message gets a tremendous amount of coverage (likely due to the inflammatory nature of their statements). This probably leads the general populace to assume that many more Muslims are radicals than is really the case.

That is the same with anything. Abortion opponents, Catholics, Democrats, Republicans, Video Game players, Star Wars fans...

Media loves to focus on the 1% fanatical fringe of anything..
