So a local IT company has been trying to recruit me to work for them. I agreed to an interview last week and had been awaiting word on a potential offer. This morning I get an e-mail from my current boss that just says "Call Bob at [insert ph #].
What is this clown thinking?!? Why on earth would he call my boss? I certainly didn't give him the number. I made it quite clear I didn't want word of any of this leaking out. I purposely only gave him my home phone number.
To make matters worse, yesterday I had a doctor's appointment at 5:00pm. We had some crap hit the fan at work in the afternoon, but I couldn't miss this appointment so I had to bail and finish things up later in the evening. Now my boss likely assumes I ditched out to go to a job interview. :(
I'm so angry right now, I want to call this loser up and tell him off. However, I know that's not the 'correct' response. So besides obviously upping my price by an exhorbitant amount, what should I do about this?
