do i need to have the live kit?


i just have dsl and a dsl modem.


is there a free trial i can sign up for? i just got my xbox when NCAA 2006 came out.

i would rather try it out before i make the purchase of it

You don't need the kit. You will need a router if you want to have your PC and XBox online at the same time.

For a free trial, check your NCAA box and see if there isn't a coupon. Last years EA Sports games came with a free 90 day trial.

yep both Madden 2006 and NCAA 2006 didint come with no coupon inside. just the manual only.

i wish they gave new people that buy an xbox a free trial to try it out. that will make sense and maybe get more people to sign up for xbox live.

Right, you can just switch the cord back and forth.

I don't know if the free trial offers from last years games are still valid (may have expired, I can't find any of my coupons) but if they are, you might be able to find someone on this board or elsewhere who can hook you up. The free trial thing only works once per Xbox, so I'm sure a lot of people had extras left over.
