I know there are a few (Marmel, I think?).
Over the weekend, Live fans were treated to a preview of the band's forthcoming album, reportedly titled Songs From A Black Mountain and scheduled to be released in early November. Live played a pair of shows in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, debuting five new songs at each concert. The band mixed fan favorites in with new tracks "The River," "Sophia," "Mystery," "Love Shine," and another unidentified song. Frontman Ed Kowalcyzk told the crowds that the radio single would be "The River" and that the album would be in stores on November 11 (presumably November 15 in the U.S.).

I'm another resident Live fan :) Thanks for the news, looking forward to the new album as I thoroughly enjoyed Birds of Pray and their greatest hits is a regular play in my car :) Kind of a shame I never took the time to watch the DVD of it though... I guess now is the time :)

You should pick up Birds of Pray. Sadly, I'm sure you can find it for $8 or less at any used CD shop.

I thought I remembered the release date being around early November as this will be one of the few CDs I'll be looking to buy, so I went to www.friendsoflive.com (http://www.friendsoflive.com) and saw this:
Upcoming Release Dates:
Songs From Black Mountain, LIVE's upcoming album, will be released on March 21st. The River, the first single off of the album, will hit radio stations on January 17th!!
Looks like it's been pushed back... :(

I love Live, but in a totally unrelated comment, do artists get royalties from sales of their albums in used CD shops? Otherwise, isn't buying a used CD morally equivalent to downloading it from the Internet?

Ed Kowalcyzk sings every song like it's THE MOST IMPORTANT SONG OF ALL-TIME

They don't get royalties as far as I know. But I fail to see the similarities. Ford doesn't get compensated when someone buys a used Taurus, and I don't see the moral outrage in that scenario. Jim doesn't get paid again when I decide to sell you my copy of FOF2. CDs are property that can be bought and sold. Of course, that universally accepted understanding is being challenged by the music industry, as they attempt to turn it into a licensing vs. ownership issue (i.e., buying a CD only entitles you to a license to use the product). In fact, I think they even tried to have used CDs subject to some sort of royalty system. I know they've made noise about it. But I don't see Stephen King all in a huff when a paperback of Salem's Lot sells at a garage sale.

Saw my boys again this evening (as well as back in November in Jersey). They can still put on a show. Album's been pushed back to May 9 (Ed was frustrated about it, but also very excited). There is nothing like White, Discussion played Live. :)
