I wanna gauge interest in something I've been wanting to do for a few years now.

I've never had much interest in fantasy football because I've always been more of a rotisserie guy and the weekly format of almost all football leagues is just a turn off to me.

So I decided I'd see how much interest there is in a keeper, roto football league. I'd want it to be a money league, anywhere between $50/$100 bucks.

Here's what I've got so far,

Categories
-------------
Rushing Yards
Passing Yards
Receiving Yards
Points
Turnovers
Tackles
Sacks
Interceptions, Forced Fumbles & Funble Recoveries

Rosters
-----------
2 Quarterbacks
2 Running Backs
1 Tight End
3 Wide Recievers
1 Kicker
3 Defensive Linemen
2 Linebackers
3 Defensive Backs

Any interest?

Yeah, if football gets back this year I need a solid money league to partake in

I'd be interested. And with the money involved, I'd be forced to pay attention.

Couple things I've been looking at regarding scoring and rosters.

I'd like to add Return yards to either the Receiving or Rushing yards category, probably should be receiving yards right?

Should we go with 2 DE, 2 DT, 2 LB, 2 CB, 2 S or just group them by position group as in my initial post.

Also adding a utility back WR/RB/TE spot.

I figure if we get 10 guys (I'd love to shoot for 12) that's a pretty good talent dispersal.

Hopefully if we get enough sign ups we could start a slow board draft sometime in August.

I love the slow board draft! It gives me something to do with my day.

For defense, I prefer the initial groupings you presented. I will also throw out there I am not a huge fan of 2 QBs at the same time, but obviously majority rules.

I would also prefer the initial defensive groupings rather than splitting it up, but I don't feel too strongly about it

Bump for a grasp at interest.

I'll consider it, if there are some spots open later.

One thing I'll add, I was involved in a league awhile back that decided to add return yardage as a category. It was weighted as 1 point/20 yards.

I took a flyer on Dante Hall in the last round of the draft, and ended up going 14-1 and winning the league playoffs.

By week 10 or so, all teams were dropping the bench players they were holding and added Josh Scobee and Alan Rossum and starting them in their flex positions. These guys would be on terrible teams who gave up tons of points, and therefore finished games with 6-7 kick returns for 170+ return yards.

Make sure return yards gets properly weighted. 1pt/50 yards at least.

That wouldn't be an issue since this would be a roto league. Not head to head points.
