Grrrrr. First Dish Network removes the NFL network from the Americas Top 100 package under the lame excuse that the "preview" had ended. Now I know that I am only a professional engineer with 2 college degrees, but how the heck do they expect me to believe that a channel that I have had for around 2 years was just a "preview"? That was utter BS.

Now it has happened again. While moving through the channel guide, I noticed that the Big Ten network was gone. I checked the all channel guide and also could not find it. Only after looking at the Americas Top 200 channel listing did I discover that it has been removed from the Americas Top 100 package. Way to go Dish Network. They could have at least notified their customers of the upcoming change.

I am half temped to dump them and switch to Direct TV even though it is way more expensive or even do the absolute unspeakable and return to cable TV. This just pisses me off for some reason. I am sorry to be venting here, but I had to get this off my chest.

Well I found the explanation which was kinda hidden.

DISH Network customers nationwide who subscribe to America's Top 100 and higher will find the Big Ten Network on Channel 439. Customers throughout the nation will also have the opportunity to preview the network until early 2008. At that time, the channel will be carried on America's Top 100 Plus service within the eight states with Big Ten institutions.

I have to reverse my rant about the Big Ten channel since its spelled out clearly in the above text. I still am a bit miffed about the NFL network however.
