Brian McNamee told congressional investigators he injected Roger Clemens' wife with human growth hormone as she prepared for a Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition photo session five years ago, the New York Daily News reported Friday.

McNamee testified during his Capitol Hill deposition on Thursday that he injected Debbie Clemens at her husband's direction, the News said on its Web site, citing an unidentified Washington source.

"While you're sticking needles into my ass, would you mind sticking needles into my wife's ass too?"

I think this story, that was already getting weird (I mean come on, he SAVED the syringes and took photos?!?!?!), has officially crossed the line into the absurd.

I dont think he is necessarily making anything up. And I dont doubt Clemes is/was taking roids.

What amazes me is that n one is cscreaming that McNamee's "evidence" is bung.
Every Syringe I have ever seen, that wasnt a medical preload has interchangeable needles.
Clemens admits he was injected with B12 and Cortisone.
So how do you prove the needle with the DNA had
the steroids in them?

That's an impossible burden of proof for anything.

The burden of proof to where Clemens' legacy is tainted? We're close, if we're not there already.

The burden of proof to find him guilty of Perjury? A little higher, but not "beyond a shadow of a doubt". Many, many people are convicted simply because one person's testimony is far more credible than another's. If believing the less credible witness would be unreasonable, ie. beyond a reasonable doubt.

At first, McNamee was merely protecting himself. That recorded phone call with Clemens showed he was still a jock sniffer at heart. But this new info? This only came up because he WANTS to be known, in the end, of the one who's telling the truth here.

Guy knew he had one of the biggest stars hook, line, and sinker and covered his butt (unlike Clemens who exposed his) perfectly.

I don't understand how this could even be admissable. I mean, how hard is it to refill the syringe with steriod or HGH remnants afterward. "Hey, I've had these syringes for 7 years sitting in my garage. Test them and you'll find Clemens's DNA and some roids." Seems like anybody worth their weight wouldn't even waste money on testing them.

You first have to believe Congress gives a damn about any of the evidence either side gives them. The only evidence Congrss really cares about is the sworn testimony, since that is where the perjury charges will come from.

I don't care about the Clemens issue either way on a personal level, but if this is true, that would be awesome. I think it would be wonderful for Clemens to go down for pure entertainment, but this would make it even more fun. :)
