Offseason training question

Alright, a quick question regarding offseason training. I normally train stamina in the offseason, but since last seasons change in stamina training (percentage of full training) I'm guessing I'll no longer have to do that. Am I correct in this guess?

So if I don't set stamina to 100%, is there a recommended training for the offseason? I normally train the midfield during the season. I'm thinking form or short passing. Any thoughts?

I've done short passing in the past, basically running a 2-5-3 so 8 guys get training. Since I'm doing defense now, it's not as useful but for PM, it's nice training and you'll get most of your trainees.

You could also do set pieces, which IIRC have not yet been restricted to players who see the field.

I thought about set pieces as well and in fact I'm kind of leaning towards that due to the changes this season. I'm interested to see if these changes pan out or are just another small tweak that won't see a lot of play.

Keep in mind that most of the changes won't go into competitive matches until the following season. I'm pretty sure there will be a visible impact on match ratings, and I'm interested in seeing how significant that turns out to be.

From reading the HT comments in the global thread I get the feeling that they could be smaller tweaks. I believe they said that the changes look big because there are many tweaks, but if you look at each tweak it is in fact a very small change. I hope we see a difference in play, but I doubt it results in anything major until they follow up with more tweaks down the road.

I don't think the tweaks are that small. As I recall, the editorial was talking about changes on the order of 25% of contributions.

<TABLE class=shrink><TBODY><TR><TD><HR>These are big changes.. have to change the state of mind I had for 3 and a half years now , especially the ME changes , that's like every team in the game has to change their squads to adjust themselves , but since there are almost no players like we need now (like keepers with def which is non existent) , it will take a long time for everyone to rebuild their squads.. and for players like that even exist in the market (and they probably will cost A LOT).
I actually don't know what to do with my team atm.

Honestly, the changes in the match engine aren't that big if you look on each one as a separate case. There are just a lot of those making the change looking big. Me and Johan were discussing this at lunch time today, we both feel most of these changes are not so big - it's just the amount of small changes which makes them feel so big. Moreover, we also feel the game will be more logical after these changes - so with time I think it will be somewhat easier to understand the game (even for newbies).
