Whats the best and accurate site for game reviews?
Of all the sites available, which game review site you rely on the most?

I often go to IGN because I like the layout, but their reviews are average IMO

I don't consider one source. Rather, I read a bunch of different reviews if I'm debating on a game and from there, get a consensus (see, it can be reached, Bubba Lou!) estimate on how good it is.
EGM is probably my favourite review source, but I've never visited the website. I just get the magazine in the mail.

Game Chronicle is my favorite. Also, good ones are Firing squad, Gamers with jobs, Wargamer (strategy and war games) and gamespy is fairly in depth. IGN is not be trusted since there are alot of insider deals with some of the big publishers Gamespot is similar. Check out Game Rankings.com to see almost all the reviews for any game.

I usually look at Metacritic, which has (small numbers of) user reviews and collates a few magazine reviews as well. But as I don;t buy many games I can't vouch for how good it is.

IGN and GameSpot for me.

I rely on metacritic averages of all the available reviews generally - every site/magazine can have an off-day on one game now and then ...

that has always been there. there's a jose benos that is a magician somewhere on the net but is not related to the jbmagic here. Our hero I suspect is also a former magician though and with the initials jb.

I read forums and several outlets such as IGN, Gamespot, Bill Harris and Bill Abner's blogs, etc...

Gamespot is my usual go to source, but I also look at gamerankings' site.

I usually just listen to what Eaglesfan27 says about a game. I'm a sheep to his mad hype skills.

I often visit TeamXbox and RPGamer for my reviews. GameSpot's kind of overtaken IGN for me, and oddly enough, I visit GameFAQs just to get a gauge for who's really digging what.
I use gamerankings.com when I'm looking for reviews.

I combine the scores by reading (in order) Gamespot, EGM, and IGN. IGN scores are generally inflated but EGM&Gamespot best represent what I usually think of games.

I never look at IGN scores anymore. Might read their reviews sometimes, but their scores mean nothing to me anymore. When XBox first came out, a bunch of games they reviewed were greatly misleading. For example, Raw (a wrestling game) was given a 9.0... and I haven't found anyone that has liked it that much.
The only "good" part of the game is the ridiculous clothes and stuff you can find during a match and wear. It's funny the first time you see it, then after that it's just there. To give that game a 9.0 (along with some of the other games) was just stupid.

Message boards and forums like this are your best bet. You will not find many websites that are not paid off by the game companies.

I find the best reviews come from my couch, where I'm either playing the game or not.
