she was promoting a boxing match at a local casino and wanted to come on my radio show. As I recall, I ended up not doing the interview because it was basically an unpaid advertisement. There were no thrown hubcabs, but there was also no nudity. A shame, because she still looked pretty good.

hahahaha. Luckily its not a blood relation, my uncle bob (or is that a great uncle??) married her mom long after Tonya was born. So he was just her stepdad. They were married a little while after the whole Kerrigan deal, and he was even on an episode of Sally Jesse with her, lol. Tonya's mom (i cant remeber her first name damnit) is a TOTAL nutball, which probably goes without saying.

man, for some reason I dont even wish that could happen. Tonya HATES her mother and dually hated my uncle, so I dont have any shot at a real white trash xmas.

Well before my uncle ever entered the picture, I couldnt stand Tonya Harding for some reason... when i was 15 i would skip school with my girlfriend and we would drive to clackamas town center mall to get wasted and do the typical mall rats thing... but the special thing about this mall is that is had a big ice pavallion where Harding would practice... so one day I thought it would be funny to throw pennies and dimes on the ice while she skated.. and sure enough.. she ran right over one of those and went flying forward on to the ice. She jumped up and started screaming for security and was pointing right at me! We ran off and nothing became of it, but it was so damn funny.

There's kids being kids, as I'd guess with chinaski's story. Then there are adults, f'ing grown ups throwing stuff on the ice for the fun of throwing stuff, mostly at referees. I was a hockey referee for 8 years in my younger days, there were some places where it was not even funny...

Tonya Harding is fighting a Florida woman who weighs under 135 pounds. Well, sort of.

The disgraced Olympic figure skater-turned-beefy slugger will face skinny transvestite television personality Daisy D, best known locally for his "Queen on the Scene" antics on the South Florida gossip TV show "Deco Drive."

The gender-bender brawl takes place March 10 at Beach Bums in Fort Lauderdale. advertisement

"Daisy D never told me she was a he when we were talking on the phone," groaned promoter Damon Feldman. "Well, it's close enough. Tonya doesn't mind too much."

Feldman said the three-round "celebrity boxing" main event will become a pro wrestling match because the Florida Dept. of Business and Professional Regulation, which oversees the Florida Boxing Commission, nixed the idea of Harding sparring a totally inexperienced opponent - despite the fact that they would be wearing 16-ounce gloves and protective head gear.

"Harding is a known professional boxer and according to our rules she can only fight as a professional fighter," said Department spokeswoman Meg Shannon. "She cannot participate in a prearranged fight because that would be illegal. Prearranged fights are considered fixed fights under our rules."

But Florida does not oversee pro wrestling, Shannon said - so almost anything goes.

"As long as Harding doesn't wear boxing gear while she is engaged in pro wrestling, the promoter is not breaking the law."

Harding has a 3-3 record as a professional boxer. And like Daisy D, she has no known pro wrestling experience.

In addition to Harding, Feldman will feature four other pro wrestling matches, including "a local wrestler who weighs 650 pounds."

There will also be a raunchy Paris Hilton look-a-like contest, with the winner getting at least $250 in cash, Feldman said.

"We're out to give South Florida fight fans a classy night out," Feldman said.

Man....I worked at Clackamas Town Center for a good 4 years of my life at the crap-ass faux health-food establishment 'The Good Earth'. Why I would admit that to anyone, I don't know, but I suppose if I could find somebody right now who would pay me to lazily ogle teenage hostesses with hourly pot-smoking breaks, I'd probably accept that job too. Plus, Clackamas is just about the only place a kid from Portland can get any 'street cred', I ran that kitchen like Adibisi on Oz.

After working there for a little while, I learned that not only had Tonya Harding done a short stint as a waitress, but a little lady named Monica Liewinski had also served her time in TofuTown. I hatched an elaborate, diabolical plan to sneak a peek at their personal files: I would walk over to the file cabinet, pull them out, and read them. Well, I don't know what kind of juicy gossip I was expecting, but I was severely disappointed. If I remember correctly they were both fired for showing up late repeatedly, but compromising photos or microfilm, police reports, mug-shots, wire-taps recorded onto one of those cool micro-cassettes....none of that shit.
