This is so aggravating. I signed up for ultimatebaseballonline . com and of course I don't get the email with my password because friggin road runner uses shitty filtering software. anyone been able to get it removed from their mail account? i'm tired of using my yahoo account for stuff like this.

Is it annoying filtering software or poorly formatted e-mails? I go through a few dozen SPAM messages a day at work and have trashed a few real work e-mails because someone put "Important Business Information" as the subject line instead of something that was actually descriptive. I've found that legitimate mail masquerading as SPAM is a much bigger problem than SPAM masquerading as legitimate mail.

I don't think it's the emails. for instance, I don't get ANY emails from classmates . com, they all get bounced. and several times I've registered for game info from their sites or signed up for message boards and never gotten the email whereas if I use my yahoo account I get it right away.

I loaded all the anti-spam/anti-virus/firewall crap from RR and it effectively killed my browsing abilities. My email was shot (I couldn't access my own PST files) and I couldn't use any of my media players. I contacted RR and they said I was SOL, not their problem. In the end I had to reload Windows to fix it. DO NOT USE ROADRUNNER TOOLS FOR PROTECTION, THEY SUCK DONKEY DONGS!

Hmmm ... I guess it's that I haven't installed any RR tools, but I have zero problems with e-mail from RR. If anything, I've noticed I'm getting some new spam lately I wasn't getting as of a month ago. Guess some other ass hat got my e-mail address.

You guys have issues. Road Runner utilizes NORMAL spam filtering protection.
As is noted on their security/abuse website.
http://security.rr.com

Road Runner provides AT YOUR OWN CHOICE to install EZ Armor. It's just something they offer to their customers, it isn't a RR product, it's just a company that has an agreement and offers the software to RR customers.

Honestly I don't see any anit/everything software causing the problems you had Leonidas.

If the emails are being bounced back the bounce backs says what must be done for the provider that is sending them to be able to send messages. The messages are being bounced for legitimate reasons. If you want to blame someone blame the server sending the email because they are the problem, not RR.

If you don't like the way RR handles your email you could always keep your Time Warner Cable high speed service and just switch to Earthlink.
