Anyone planning on watching the fights tonight?

Cory Spinks (32-2) vs. Zab Judah (30-1) for the undisputed welterweight championship. Battle of 2 lefties. This fight could be a real ugly tactical battle. Spinks has almost no power and never goes for the KO. Judah has alot of power and seemingly always goes for the KO. Judah is moving up in weight for the fight so his power may not translate as well as it did earlier in his career. Spinks has a GREAT chin. I think Spinks wins by decison and I think its going to be a wide margin.

Wladimir Klitschko (42-2) vs. Lamon Brewster (29-2) in a battle for the WBO heavyweight title. Klitschko lost this title a year ago in an absolute whipping put on by Corrie Sanders. He has fought a few stiffs since then looking O.K. Wlad has a great jab and good power. Brewster has been on HBO a couple times and was just pitiful looking. Brewster is a decent fighter though, very fast. No one is sure what kinda mental state Klitschko is going to be in. Very hesitant since his last loss. I think Klitschko is going to win late by KO. A few real close rounds early as Wlad feels his way out. Emanuel Steward is now training Klitschko and it will be interesting to see what changes have been made.

I really see a good fight with spinks and judah. I also see spinks taking it, but it will be closer than a lot of people think.

Klitschko will KO him early, first 3 rounds.

2 decent fights... I am all set to watch these bad boys. I think the Spinks Judah is the better of the 2 contests just because it's closer but the chance to watch the Klitschkos back to back in 2 weeks of time is well worth it as well. I am not sure about 3 rds but Klitsch should take it. Spinks I am not so sure about...

4 heavyweight belts are going to be up for grabs in the next 3 weeks.

Tonight you have Wlad Klitschko vs Brewster for the WBO.

Next week you have Chris Byrd vs Andrew Golota for the IBF.

Also next week you have John Ruiz vs Fres Oquendo for the WBA.

2 weeks from now you have Vitali Klitschko vs Corrie Sanders for the WBC(and Ring Magazine Championship).

Should be an interesting month!

I thought Zab Judah got gypped, on the other hand he didn't really start taking it to Spinks unitl the last twenty seconds of the fight. Unfortunately I missed the second fight.

I had Spinks winning the fight, alot more entertaining than I thought it would be. What was up with that "dancing" Spinks did though? That was just plain bad....

Wlad makes everyone who believed in him look like a putz yet again. He has a chin just like Joe Mesi. No one is ever out of a fight against him.

Last night was a sad night for me. Wlad has everything you need to win a heavyweight title and hold it for a long time... except a chin and there is nothing he can do to fix it. :(

What depressed me even more was the things Emmanuel Stewart was training him in and that he showed in the fight were perfect to make his run. But even Stewart can't fix his chin.

But Wlad is more than just a boxer, he really does have a doctorate and he will be fine.

My hats off to Brewster though. What he did in the ring took courage and heart because a lesser man would have been gone in 3 rounds. But he never gave up. Even if he fades into oblivion ala Buster Douglas he did something very special for one night..

I thought Judah deserved a better fate in the first fight.
