Basically this will be a blog about anything that springs to my mind. Some****s it'll be completely random and other ****s there will be cogent and well thought out treatises on varying subjects.
So here we are, a project that will be years in the telling but i`ve made a start. The Chicago Bulls of the 1990s were the first truly modern NBA dynasty as the decade progressed the era of free agency being a big thing grew and in fact the Bulls took advantage of that with a key player in the 2nd half of their run. The Winter Classic has become the Super Bowl of the NHL world. I'd love to say that Gary Bettman deserves some credit but the reality is this wasn't even his idea. The whole basis of what has now been dubbed the Winter Classic was started in 2003 as the Heritage Classic in Edmonton between the Oilers and Canadiens. The Powers that be in the NHL decided to co-opt the idea and suddenly make it their own.
