DEFENSE COMES UP BIG AGAIN, STOPS FRESNO STATE

Fresno, CA -- The Bulldogs' offense put up zero points on UNLV's new and effective 3-3-5 defense Saturday night. The only points Fresno State could muster were from a kickoff return in the first quarter.

"We still have a lot to improve on special teams", said Rebels head coach Sean O'Bannion. "We need to be better on kickoff coverage. But our other phases are getting better and that's huge."

UNLV did pretty much all of their damage on the ground, led by quarterback Armani Rogers who had 75 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. It was all they needed as the Bulldogs had no answer for their defense.
